Symptoms of Kennel-Koff:
-
Fever
-
Nasal discharge
-
A cough that sounds like he or she
may have something caught in the throat.
Although
by itself kennel cough is not a serious disease it can lead to
pneumonia. Immunity from the disease or from a vaccination lasts only
6-12 months, so it is recommended that you vaccinate your pet before
going to shows, or boarding them at kennels or
use Kennel-Koff.
Kennel-Cough can be
given twice a day before and after a show or boarding at a kennel. This
may help to prevent your animal from coming down with the illness.
Although this is not a guarantee it is a better alternative than
exposing your animal to the disease.
Kennel cough can be
picked up at kennels when boarding your pet. It can also be picked up
at shows, parks or anywhere there is a large gathering of dogs or cats.
You can give Kennel-Koff as a preventative if you believe your pet has
been exposed. For preventative dosing, give Kennel-Koff two times a day
for up to 10 days.
Kennel cough generally
strikes when a dog or cat is recovering from a viral or respiratory
illness. Even though it is mostly a secondary invader it can also be a
primary cause of illness. “There is nothing out there like it” is
the word being said about Kennel-Koff. “The cough is gone within 48
- 72 hours”.
The cough can last up
to 6 weeks but if treated with Kennel-Koff the cough usually stops
within 48-72 hours (however, you must continue to treat for 7 - 10
days). If the cough persists longer then 5 days and you have not seen
much of an improvement there may be other factors to consider. The
Canine Flu or allergies are most common. Try using Amber Technology’s
Pet’s Cough & Cold Formula in addition to the Kennel-Koff. If you do
not see a significant improvement within 10 days call Amber Technology
at 1-877-727-8243.
Canine
Flu mimics kennel cough:
Do not confuse kennel cough with the Canine
Flu. Symptoms are similar with the exception of a discharge from the
eyes or nose from the Canine Flu.
Suggested Use:
Give orally 4 times daily for up to 10 days.
